Elders Ltd provides
Australian rural producers with inputs, services, products and support in the
core areas of wool, livestock, rural finance, insurance, merchandise and real
estate.
Until recently, Elders had a network of branches that was predominantly connected by a proprietary IBM SNA (Systems Network Architecture) network. This type of network was proving inadequate for their growing and diverse needs.
Elders performed an entire revamp of their Network, upgrading from the obsolete SNA, to TCP/IP. Working closely with Elders on the printing aspect of the network, Midrange Pacific provided a solution based on nearly 300 I-O Print Servers.
The Benefits of this solution:
·
Network architecture more open: multi-protocol
technology, which allows printing from both AS/400 and LAN.![]()
· I-O Print Servers providing full-function AS/400 Printing over TCP/IP.
“…we required not only a good product, but also good quality service. So when we purchased a large quantity of print servers, we did so with confidence. After implementation, Midrange Pacific were very helpful in rectifying a few small issues, and since that time the I-O Print Servers have been a reliable component of the Elders Network.”
